Spotty, spotty, spotty. That says it all after the strong winds all week for Saturday. And unfortunately, I couldn`t find one of those spots to stay on and fish

.
I set up in 140` around 27` N. I took 2 coho while setting lines, but continued out as I didn`t have any marks on the screen. Once out to 180` plus, there were plenty of marks 100`down to the bottom so I dropped a smoke/ lil` boy blue down 140`, and a Smurf spoon down 115`. The dodger/flie brought up a King around 8#`s , and the spoon nada. I switched the spoon patterns around and kept them down 100` plus and 50` to the surface, I couldn`t buy a spoon bite. I later heard they were working 70` - 80` down , Oh well, I had `em surrounded

.
The Smoke/ lil boy blue took another hit and we lost the fish about 40` behind the boat, it appeared to be a king around the same class as the one that made it to the box. My two 40` dipseys with a "00" orange dodger/blue liz, took around 7or 8 hits between them and were the best rods, other than that it was a "One hit wonder" kinda` day for me .
We ended up with a bakers dozen of 12 coho and the king, with a total of twenty something hits. The best part was once again it was a beautiful day in early May to be out on the water. It wasn`t too cold, the lake really calmed down, and we were only drizzled on a few times .
Even though I and a few others came in short, some boats were able to locate the pockets, work them, and come in with their limits or close to it.
