First of all Scott, a great big WELCOME to Crappie.Com from the bayous of South Louisiana. There are quite a few factors evolved In catching crappie. Number 1 is location. In other words where are you fishing. If I were to go out today I'd be looking for them in 2' to 3' of water at any time of day. Now some of my CDC buddies from the northern part of La. would be fishing 10' to 14' deep in lakes and impoundments. So truly to get a proper answer that could really help you out, you have to give up a few details. To start with what part of the country or state are you fishing in or to be more exact what lakes or bodies of water do you fish. Also each state has it's own forum where you can get with fishermen that are probably fishing the exact waters that you are. Its a good idea to go to your state's forum and read everything that is posted there. You will probably learn a lot. Everyone here is quite generous in providing help and ideas to improve everyone else's fish catching. So drop us a few more details and I'm sure you will get a lot of replies. Enjoy the sight and also share with us you fishing experiences.
