Doubt it. While it was every bit of 2.25 pounds, it would be a real stretch to call it 2.5, unless they are much more dense than bass.

That would have broken the TN state record. The TN record is tied between two people, 1 lb. and 15 ounces.

Those things are one of the best eating fish around. When you fillet one, there's very little waste and the meat is prettier than anything else. Congratulations bc, I've never caught one hardly over a pound
