Don't get these much around here, wish we did!
This is the biggest one I've ever caught, from this past Spring -
12", a little over a pound. Caught it trolling hair jigs at Pickwick.

Nimrod, that's the only one I've ever ate, but it was some kinda fine.
I catch some 9 or 10" ones every now and then, and had been turning
them loose because I thought they were too small. But I asked about it
on Walleye Central, and they said that was eating size. It reminded me
of Sauger, if you've ever tried those.

That is prolly the most targeted fish through the ice up here in my neck of the woods... Good table fare but i think Sunnies and Gills taste better..
