I placed hooky from sleeping the other day after work and put the batteries back in the boat for one last sneaky beaky on the most perfect day. Put my son on the bus after working all night, work 5p-5a and put son on bus at 820a, put/hook 3 batteries back up, net, lifejacket, tackle box, and 1 rod, hehe, but 2 reels. At the launch by 915a and fished till noon. So this is how it went.
I'll let the pictures tell the story, all C&R'd, solo, and oh yea the weather was going to be in the high 50's lows 60's, cloudy, started out misty and just stayed cloudy with some wind and a major wind and cold rain front coming strong. Guess you can say that the devil made me do it.

Now for the hog perch.

Then ya never know what is going to eat your little paddle tail on an 1/8 oz jighead and 6# mono and ML 6 1/2' rod and reel are going to get into on the river. HEHE.

Look at all the black spot on this 27" northern pike. What's up with that?
I lost a few other nice fish that the little hook didn't hold in. I was fishing in 3'-8' of water that had to be close the 45 degrees or so.
And man o man, did mother nature bring winter or what, I'm ready for the ice. Got the boat back home and re-winterized but I still need to get some more tarps and plastic on her.
Fish On!
