Thread: 1st 2009 outing

Well its almost time to get the boats out fishing again for another year.If its ok with everyone else how about lets start planning a trip to Pymatuning again this year up in stumps at linesville like last year.
For the sake of planning lets say sat april 25th or sun apr 26th.
I just want to get things started if any one has other ideas lets hear em and post them What do you think mike???
Also i dont trout fish have historically taken my boat out usually to pymatuning or mosquito on trout season weekend.so if anyones interested in getting together for that let me know. i beleive its weekend of april 11th and 12th.
Let me know what everyone thinks im just trying to get things started really anxious!!!!!! to fish!!

Bill you read my mind. Was going to post about the 1st fish together. What about going out on opening day of trout? Just a suggestion.

The 25th won't work for me but the 26th should be OK.

What does everyone else have to say? Chime in please.

the 26th is good for me also i on vaccation the wholw week. Opening day of trout is a yearly ritual but not for trout I'll be at mosquito for the eyes anyone wants to go let me know. that was a good get together last year at linesville. those slabs should b in those stumps.

I'm also on vacation the last week of april, and am planning on going fishing all week. I just bought a small pop up camper, that I'm going to leave up at shenango. Set a date. I don't do the trout thing, since I got addicted to the crappies. Bill, would be interested in a trip anywhere, if you need a partner, I'd be more than glad to pitch in for gas, food, whatever. If you wanted to make it a weekend thing, and I have the campers plates and all, (which I should have done next week) I could tow it and could camp for a night, and turn it into a couple days of fishing. If anyone wanted to do the trout thing I go to what I think is one of the best small fishing lakes I ever fished. Its 144 acre and I think 65’ deep. I think it has every type of fish, perch, crappie, walleye, pike, bass and trout. The only time I fish for trout is the first weekend because it’s a tradition with some friends, we camp there. It’s electric motor only, but has a lot of good shore fishing. So if anyone wanted to meet there that’s where I should be. It’s above Franklyn Pa, it’s easy to get to.

I will be at mosquito opening weekend of trout season i'll talk to you before then,other KCA members should consider this the bite should be good, the lake is super to fish very near shenango. you can get a 1 day ohio nresident lisence for 11.00 bucks which they will credit towards a yearly if you like it.

Doski , Your at Justus Lake , about 10 minutes from my house . There were a few nice tiger trout dumped in there last year . They should be wall hangers soon if the musky did not get them . Good luck , Jake
