Stopped by the lake this morning. The water is down and really brown. Not sure how far from normal fill it is. Maybe someone might know, or how to get the info. I was at the Hartford ramp area.

Call 724 962 4384 and get all the lake info you'll need. Updated every morning around 8:15.

Wiith those 2 inches of rain we had yesterday and the stuff coming the first of the week it will be back up before long. I wish it would stay down for about another 2 weeks so I can finish laying my brush piles out.

I put them in places where no one thinks of fishing. They are not very big, around 4 feet square. Just big enough to pick 4 or 5 fish from than move on. Most of them are in deeper water, over 12-20 feet deep. I don't fish for crappies after the first week in May.
So the brush piles are for the cold water periods in the spring and fall. I love it when I see the boats go flying over my brush piles to get to a spot along the shoreline, most guys don't watch their electronics when moving from spot to spot. That's all I can tell you.

Was back at the Hartford ramp today. Water has come up quite a bit, but it is not at full pool yet. Also checked out Parkers Landing. If some one wanted to launch there, good luck. The trees by the water have had limbs break off of them, and fallen into the water around the launch area.

The main launch at the campground is open, but there is no fee until the start of camping season.
