    Default where is everybody fishing

Been checking this thread out and it seems like nobody is fishing in Pa right now. I am looking on any info or reports for crappie fishing in eastern Pa. Would like to know if anyone has been having any luck on the water

I have heard that Blue Marsh has some pretty nice size crappie in it, i was just looking at the map trying to figure out where the boat ramps are, i have a tiny one fits in the back of my truck.

Do you know if it is still iced over...

I haven't been out to the lake in about a month,so I'm not sure how iced up it is.There are 3 nice ramps to put your boat in,2 on the main lake run by the Corp of enginners and 1 further up that is run by the fish and boat commission. We do very well Crappie fishing on Blue Marsh and you will catch some that are nice sized.

Have a question for you since you have fished there with a boat are you allowed to fish at night there with a boat, and is there a ramp that is not in the main park where you wont end up getting locked in if you stay to late

Yes you can nightfish. We normally use the Fish commission boat launch(Sheidy)when the warmer weather gets here and they keep the gate open. The main lake launches are bigger and have nicer facilitys, but they get full of the big pleasure and ski boats when it warms up and it can really be a pain to get in and out.The Fish commission launch is free year round, while the others charge you to launch there during the busy season.I don't do alot of nightfishing, but the few times I have there have been a bunch of other boats out.

Thanks for all the info that you have given me. I will probably take a ride up there this weekend and maybe even do a little fishing. That is after I get my license that is. Blue Marsh is closed to fishing in March and having to wait till trout season opens do you happen to know.
