I have to admit that was beautiful...Steeler fans even in space...WOW .

Crappieranger, I rode my motorcycle from here to Utah and took Rt 70 and 40. Went thru where you live, nice country, lots of small/med size lakes. You don't get enough ice to ice fish, right? If not can you crappie fish all year round? Do you guys ever have a closed season?

Enjoy the game, we will be doing brats boiled in onions and beer then grilled over lump charcoal. Almost out of last years fish

Pennsylvania to Utah and back on a motorcycle... That takes a pretty good man with a strong back and a sturdy butt...I owned two of them when I was a younger man. I sure loved them at the time, but I think I stick to my Ranger now when "I feel the need...the need for speed." You know what I'm talking about?

You are right about having a lot of small and medium sized lakes in Southern Illinois...We are iced over right now...I live on a lake...I have ice fished but I don't like it much...I never feel safe on the ice. We usually fish the power plant lakes in the general region...Lake Egypt (see Fun on Lake Egypt under the Illinois posts), Coffeen, and Lake Sangchris are my favorites.
