Thread: Ice Ice Ice

They have been fishing Pymy all this week. Just happened to find out at work today.

A friend and I were at Morain Saturday around 422 Bay and the ice wasn't good at all . It varried from a solid 6 to 8 in some spots all the way down to three in others . Shore ice was weak and under most ice there was several inches of slush .The last snow acted as an insulator and made the ice bad . Some people had been out but not many . Best to wait a little longer .

i have been fishing golden run at shenango, catching fish, but only three over 8 inchs .has any one doing any good bud

Fished Conneaut Lake Saturday morning with zero luck. Didn't seem like anybbody around was catching many fish. This was my first time out, so hopefully I get some action next time. Gonna hit pymy tomorrow night. I'll let you guys know if there is anything going on.

Bud, thats been the story at shenango so far. Have been getting some fish but not big. Hit celery farm the other nite rite at dark and got a few. 2 keepers about 10.5" or so. Ice at golden run today was about 8". We were at conneaut on sat. morning also. Saw lots of fish but all small. And so were the few fish we caught. This seek should hopefully be better. Want to hit pymy but havent yet.

Went out off of tuttle yesterday afternoon. Wasn't many shantys out in the wind. I considerd it a pretty good day. First fish I brought through the hole was a 12-1/2" white crappie. Ended up keeping 5 crappie over 10", lost 2 nice ones at the hole, lost a few fish on the way up, caught a bunch of dink perch, and one large channel cat. They were all caught within 2' of the bottom. Fished from about 2 to 6. Bite was slowing down as the sun was dropping. Hopefully be out again on Friday
