Hey Rap, how's life? Tough down here with some untimely recent passings of some friends including a beautiful co-worker that died much too young a few weeks back. Yes, the crappies do move with the cooling water as October progresses. Shenango is the only place we hit and the fall bite can be ravenous. Water temperature will dictate the movement and selection of bait. After sufficient cooling and turnover, minnows become more the ticket. Prior to that jig/nibble or microspoon/nibble are typcially the hot choice in the right color du jour. You can even shore fish some areas when the temperature gets right. We start thinking of heading up in late Sept or early Oct. Fish are typically on deeper structure then. After turnover and cooling later in the month and into November they can be anywere from the shoreline to the deeper structure. Maybe Chauncy will start talking Fish Together in the near future for some day during that period.

Talk to mike and bob about getting a fish-together going around that time. I agree. Thats some of the best fishing all year.
