Anyone been out lately? Doing any good? I'm heading up Saturday afternoon. Thinking of launching out of Mahaney to be close to deeper water. Any thoughts?

Watch out for all the goose poop. It's rediculous there. The fishing is pretty good tho.

As shallow as 4ft right against the trunks and as deep as 17ft right over the brush. Getting better fish shallow right now. Some pounders in them trees. Better use some heavy line tho.

Chauncy, Thanks for the current info on the lake. I hope to be up there on monday the 3rd with the wife weather permiting, but she is not an early riser so maybe 10 or 1030. Hope to see you if you are on the lake.

was so glad to see you on the lake a week ago. sure do miss you on fish erie, it's not the same. we did manage to catch alot of nice crappies for a couple of days. we've been hittting somereally big stripers but they are done now. hey, when does the lake turn over and is fishing still good then? was nice seeing you and good fishing.

We found some fish in 10 FOW and caught a few keepers, a good many throwbacks, a couple nice bullgill and a small pike (15")

Too much stuff going on at the erie site for me. I dont even check in there anymore.
The lake wont turn over til october. Third or fourth week is around the usual time. You'll smell it. Fishing gets pretty tough then but picks up real good after. Those stripers will be feeding on top real soon so keep checking back. Good talking to you and hope to see you on the water again.
