Default Panfish enhancement regulations at Blue Marsh

Me and my dad went out to Blue Marsh lake yesterday afternoon and while we were getting ready to launch a PA fish commission worker came to us and asked if we would fill out surveys and answer some questions. It turns out that the surveys and questions were about the stricter Crappie regulations(9 inch/20 fish)that the lake put into affect some years ago and how we thought about it.After filling out the forms and talking to him he told us that we were the only ones so far that day(the the parking lot was filled to capacity) that gave him positive feedback about the newer laws.We told him that it was not a surprise to us because we hear constant whining about the limits out at the lake from other fisherman, but we have never had better local Crappie fishing than right now and 100% support what they put into effect. We went out and had a great 5 hours fishing and boated 80 and had a bunch of really niced sized fish and funny enough were told by another fisherman on the water about the stunted Crappie on Blue Marsh.

I was part of a crappie survey there back in 04 and the fish were starting to get pretty nice size in there. I think the regs are a good thing as well. Of course you got the guys who just want to fill their cooler full.
