The docks at the campground are in, and the restrooms are open. RC Marina has started to put in their docks, so maybe their wishful thinking will bring the better weather we all want. Go Fishing!!!

The bad thing is, after they leave, all those "sportsman" will leave line, bait containers, and all their litter behind. It is a shame to sterotype, but fisherman leave losts of stuff behind. I usually have a few garbage bags with me at all time, to clean up when I'm waiting for someone etc.. at least it shows we're not all bad. Planning on going this weekend, at least after we kill the daughter a turkey, anyone pick up any crappies yet?
That pic reminds me of some to the shore fishing areas up at Wilhelm where 80 people will be casting bobbers at the same tree. But, you gotta love the 1st day of trout when everyone is beating the water and I am alone sticking craps and stripers.
Hi Chaunc that was the spot you told me about! But when people fish from a boat Most do not litter like they do , from shore. So that means everyone get a boat! I got my boat out,I am fine tuneing everything ready for fishing the fish-together. Put the 10 HP back on. and got new TNT sticks so I am ready. Chaunc how is the fishing at Shenango this week? John's wife ,Mary (amish) came out of the operation fine , Cancer sucks ! See Ya Zimmy
I know this is a crappie site and I really don't care that much about trout. But with that said and this post from Chaunc "good one chaunc" I wanted to share where I go every year with some buddies. It's never crowded and the fishing is great. These pictures are from our campsite on the morning of the first day. You wake up to turkeys gobbling and very few people.
Oh I meant to add that, it's Two Mile County Park, Justice lake above Franklin Pa. I think it's around 144 acre and around 60' deep. I started going there in the early 80s for perch. It has a lot of fish in it including crappie.
