Default Fishing Deep Creek, Md.

Ol' Griz here from Deep Creek, Md. Just joined in on the crappie.com. I'm originally from Alabama and we fished Lake Eufaula at night under bridges most of March & April every year for crappie. Gonna start fishing ice out this weekend and see what happens. Will be running my scanoe around lake with trolling motor and see what hits.

Couldn't find a Maryland Forum. Sorry for butting in but, needed to start talking about Deep Creek. Any of you guys come up to ice fish here???

Grizz, There is a Deep Creek site. WWW. FishDeepCreek.com that is available too. I fish it occasionally, but have never targeted crappies there. Lou

Grizz welcome to the board. I was down two weekends ago and fished thru the ice. Found the perch in 40fow. We brought about twenty home and thru the rest back. We had 4 that were over a pound. I have pictures and when I can I will post them.

I've been out working on my scanoe tonight getting it ready. (Bought 2 years ago new and never used it)

Bought a 42 lb. thrust trolling motor, Humming Bird Depth finder, cushioned swivel seats, lights for night fishing with the infamous green night fishing light. Will find out in next couple of months if Glendale Bridge at night is the hotspot I'm betting on. Would like to prove a lot of people wrong on crappie fishing at Deep Creek.

Yellow perch have been biting at the cove behind Burger King. No boats on lake yet but ice is gone.
