on shenano today 1/21/08 about 3" to 1" further out. my buddy fished in 4'-
5' of water and he caught about 6 crappie and a hand full of perch. there were a few other guys out and they did as good or worse. i used his camera nd saw tons of shad but only 1-perch and 1- crappie. he will wait until the weekend until more ice is made and he will try again. i'm just waiting until i can get the lund out!!! good luck!! Sugar Lake 2 1/4 at boat launch, Conn. Lake 1 at firemens beach, Wilhelm 2 1/4 at stumps, and Tammarck 3 at pier. Checked them all today ice was good and black.
Checked golden run this morning. There were 9 guys fishing. The ice by the ramp was 3 inches or so. Didn't go out any farther. This weekend I will be out. Need more ice!!

Was out on 3 1/2" ice yesterday. Pretty high pucker factor. Marked a lot of fish but didn't have any thing but minnows. 0 fish on minnows. 1 on a spoon tipped with a head and 5 more on a hair jig. If your coming up, bring some maggots and waxies. My buddy told me he did good using them. Saw where the guys went thru. Be careful out there.
