Pymy question

Hey Keystoners
I have been ask about an EBCC event on Pymy and was wondering if anglers need a Pa. and Oh license since it is in both state or are we to stay on one side or the other or allowed to fish it with either state's permit. Maybe we could both on an event that is sponsored by both clubs.

Tim, you need a state license for whichever state you launch your boat from. Your license is good as long as you stay on the water but when you come in to trailer, you'd better have a license for that state. Last spring our club had an event at Pymy at Linesville. Due to the fact that they were searching for a couple bodies, we had to use the Pandanarama launch, which is Ohio. No one said anything about it at the time but that was due to the search. As for the groups getting together there, contact Mike or Bob from the keystone crappie website. They're the club brass

if you are in a boat u only need one or the other . If you are fishing from shore depending upon which side u are on u need that State's liscense. That is what I understand the law to be

OH/PA agreement is in a boat or on ice either state license. shore fishing, the state you are in at the time. You can launch from either state with either license and retrieve in either state with either license and be legal. Gary U

Gary, are you saying you only have an Ohio license and launch from Linesville, get checked by the warden when you come in and everything is legal?

I believe you need a PA license for that but i'll check with Chuck, the ranger at our lake, and see what he says. I'll apoligize in advance if i'm wrong but that doesn't seem to be the states agreement. PA shore/ PA license, Ohio shore/ Ohio license.

hi chauc; i am of the uderstanding that what i stated is correct. go to
http://www.fish.state.pa.us/fishpub/.../boundary.html as long as you are not fishing from shore either a PA or OH license will do ya. You could contact a WCO from Crawford county to make sure since the rangers at Shenango are army corp and not PFBC law enforcement and my not be aware of the agreement. in any event i always have both so i'm safe and i know you do also.
