On Saturday 16,2007. our local newspaper -The Daily News out of Huntingdon, Pa. reported the latest ruling by Judge Stewart Kurtz pertaining to the stream access law suit on the Little Juniata River. The head line read Judge doesn't change ruling in fishing case. The 1.3 mile section of the Little Juniata River is open to public fishing and recreation. People are fishing it.The following is a quote from the article in Saturdays paper. ( A finding of navigability means the submerged lands are owned by the commonwealth. Anglers then are permitted by the Fish & Boat Commission to walk the bank of the stream, between the high and low-water marks, as long as they gained access to the stream over public grounds or through private property with permission from the landowner.)
