Default A world champion on " how to fish the waggler"

I was looking on Youtube for a good example of waggler fishing and came across this video from Ian Heaps. He was world champion in 1975. This video does a good job of illustrating the shotting pattern for fishing a fixed waggler.

This is my standard method for catching bluegills, carp, catfish and trout. It works!

I found that very interesting! What was he throwing out around the bobber?
    Maggots? Shot? and why?

He was chumming around the float to draw the fish in.

Yes, he was chumming pinkies (a medium-sized maggot) and fish pellets.

    Hey Deathb4Disco,
Thanks for a very interesting and informative video!! I thought the sling shot apparatus he had for the chumming was very innovative!!

    You're welcome.

Yes, the sling shots are pretty cool. I use them myself in a couple of different sizes.

Great video, will have to remember this one.

Now if I could chum fish here I would be set!
I love taking my kids fishing, now if I could just manage to fish at the same time.
