Default Nice Shellcracker and Bluegills photo

I went to Cullman yesterday and fished for Bluegills for a few hours as a getaway. It was a fun.

Is the deep pattern still working there? I love the summer-late summer deep gills. Most never see a jig there. Mike

Hey Now Your're supposed to be paintin and tyin jigs, there's no time for going fishing and especially that many nice ones.

Just messin with ya, you almost have to do something after making lots of jigs, glad you had a good time and nice fish.

Use a small floating jig about 6 inches off the bottom. The lake still has a bunch of algae at the bottom, but that can be periodically cleaned off the jig. You can reach the channel from the bank with a good cast.

    Hey Fatman,

After you make them you HAVE TO FIELD TEST them every once in a while. :D:D:D:D I'm 63 and don't know how many "Once in a whiles" I have left. I want to take advantage of every one until the good Lord blesses me with a home on the water. Then I'll retire and fish every evening.....I promise you that.
