Default My Big Gil







Biggest Gil I`ve ever caught ! Fishing in the Pasquotank River, north of Elizabeth City, NC............ caught catfish, bluegil, shellcracker, white perch, bass, and racoon perch , all released for another day.

Thanks for the replies, I`ve enjoyed lookin at the photos of fish caught by others for some time now, thought I would share a few of my own............
Ronald in all the excitement forgot to measure the length , don`t carry a scale , but it was much bigger than my usual catches.............
I`ve posted another photo maybe it will help ? also one of a "typical" gil caught in our rivers down here all in tne N.E. area of N.C.
I`ve been told that the rivers hold some crappie too, but haven`t caught any ! must be in the wrong place, at the wrong time? I`m readin the crappie posts in hopes I`ll improve my skills in that area.
