Thumbs up Bream fishing Caddo Lake.

I slipped off from painting my house Friday 5/16 to go and try my luck. I was suppose to pick up a friend in Shreveport on my way to Caddo Lake but he cancelled at the last minute. I made the expensive (gas) trip all by myself.
I started about 1000hrs and it was 1400hrs before I started doing any good. The water temp was 69* to start but warmed up to 76* before I left. Used some of my homegrown Alabama wigglers to catch these. Ended with 39 bream and 3 catfish.

Awwww BamaFan. You really know how to put the dagger in the heart of a man who is two whole days away from his next fishing trip.

Mr Ray, no joke, my Dad has a friend that raises worms and sells em, I got me 1000 worms 4-5 yrs ago and started my own worm bed right here in Minden. When you dig em theres lots of little ones so they be doing the old "Alabama Shuffle" if'n you know what I mean. Hence the name Alabama wigglers!

Good catch Steve, makes me wish I could have been there with you. Would have been a blast catching them on an ultralight. Wanted to go this morning but had a service guy coming this morning to check on some issues with some new furniture we bought. Maybe tomorrow I can make it....
