Thread: Homemade spoon for panfish!!

I went out gill fishing on Tuesday,forgot that I had them.lol.They were tearing up some worms.

thanks im going to fern lake in a couple days and will make some and try them.

I haven't really tried them yet.I made a few casts and the lure got tangled and I went to something else.I will try them again though.

Great idea, I'm going to make a couple of them and see how they work.

when i posted this, i never thought i would get so much replies!!
so, is anyone using these fish catchers?

I only tried mine that one time and forgot about them til a few days ago when I was going thru my stuff.

is it time to fish there in PA yet?
what colors have you got? have any pics?

Check my post on page 6,they are the only ones I made.I'm ready to hit the water anytime but my work schedule and the weather have been keeping me from going.

I have fished them for several years on a fly rod; they work great for brim, white bass, yellow bass, crappie. I fish them on a floating line when fish are shallow and a sink tip when theyre down 6-8 feet. I learned to tie them up from an article in warmwater fly fishing back when the magazine was published. I generally make a small tail of flashabou or some other kind of flash; fish them with a loop knot to get more flutter-p-
