I've got 2 of the b n m sharpshooters in 5 1/2 ft.They're designed for dockshooting so they have just enough backbone to them for firing jigs under docks and boathouses.I've got a pflueger 7630 reel on each of them.I used them back in the spring on bluegill/redear/shellcracker beds and man what a blast. Most comfortable setup I've ever had in my hand for that kinda fishing.Pretty sensitive little rod you don't have any trouble feeling that "thump" when a crappie hits a jig some 20 ft. or so under a boathouse.

Looked over some graphite jigging and telescopic 'glass rods too @ Academy yesterday. The graphite rods were so soft tipped I would have one broke in the parking lot just getting into the truck bed. Just not what I prefer. Thanks for a lot of useful info and input on these rods. It was too hard to tell from B-n-M's site what the rods were like and the differences in models.

I can see using the sharpshooters but I rarely fish any body of water that has docks and can pitch or skip a lure under anything so it kind of negates my need for such a rod.

I too prefer Pflueger reels but like Presidents in 6720 or 6725.
