Default killed them of Pink gulp alive

My Grandson talked me into bluegill fishing which I don't do very often. But spent the day and caught what he said was over a hundred but He lie's like a true fisherman. 13year old's can get away with that. We used nothing but Gulp Alive PINK Maggots. Don't know why they like it. Sure does leave a stink-e hand. Try it you'll like it. OH BY THE WAY IT WAS CATCH AND RELEASE DON'T CLEAN NOTHING BUT CRAPPIE.

I've looked at those Gulp maggots before, but never have tried em.... may just have to break down and give it a try. I had a couple of good days in spring with the crappie using wax worms.

Don't clean nuthing but crappie???? My kids love the gills, I think more for the texture than the taste. Crappie are my fav as well!

There is a slight trick to hooking the maggot on the #10 hook. We found that a single maggot work better than two. and hooking them through the tip and let it hang down seems to be the ticket to the gills suckin it in. Just a tip worked for us. He did out fish Grandpa. Darn kids

The bait doesn't last long if you are catching fish. Just Joking. Just keep them closed and out of the sun helps any bait stay fresh. Weeks i'm sure....
