The picture below are some spider creations I use for Bluegill useing a floating fly line with a seven foot tipet. Size 14 thru 10. The two below I use for crappie on a size four hook. My Fly line is sink tip line seven ft. White chennile body wrap with gold or silver tensil. Tail is pheasant tail quill and behind head is duck quill.

You tying your own? top water produce better than "sinking"?
Haven`t tried them yet , so don`t know if they`ll "produce"...............
new to tying and fly fishin.............
Depends on where the fish are and the mood they're in. If they're spawning, it really p!sses them off to have a fly over them. Thought I had a photo of one of my Clausers I use for crappie... can't find it.
This is close-

"Mister, I love the way you wear that hat."
"You don't know nothin'."
Yes, those are good looking baits, and they'll all catch fish.
I use # 4 & 8 most of the time , same size we use for worm and bobber fishin......... plan to tie some with smaller hooks .............. will post a photo when they are completed...... thanks for the input
