PS... Chaunc - Thanks for the snake reminder!! Started to get close up to one of the quarry walls and took a second to look at the wall instead of the water. There was a black rat snake sunnin on a rock!!! Must have been a 2.5 or 3 footer!!!

I don't touch a thing when I'm here. It's an old quarry that is privatley owned, but managed by the DNR. Have to get permission card from the land owner with some rules.... Dawn to dusk, No motors-gas or elec, No fishin on holidays & Sunday, Shore fishing only from West shore, No alcohol, and on and on.... Only once in the past few years have I seen anyone there other than the land owner. Don't wanna do anything to get me on the No Go list.
Even picked up some trash from someone else before I left. Anyways, there is so much cover as it is I never know what to hit first. I feel like a kid in a candy store as soon as I push off from shore! :D
