C'mon guys, ain't ya fishin?
Yeesh it's eerily quiet on the brim front.
After a tough week the week before last repainting several rooms in the house, and a busy week at work last week, I finally made it out. Grabbed up 54 cleaners; no braggin' 'gills, just nice thick 7-9" fish. Weird though...
Here it is July 3rd, and while I've caught bedding fish before this time of year, and beyond, it's usually small pockets of them. Kind of like left overs...
But today I got into them and while I knew I had a lot females I didn't realize until I counted them when I got home that 44 of the 54 were hens. And full of eggs. I found these out in 6-10' of water, but they had no qualms about coming up and hitting a fly, I didn't boat over the top of them but I suspect they were probably hanging suspended. I'm betting if I'd tried closer to shore that their boyfriends were in there sweeping nests for them. I'm busy tomorrow, but Sunday....

eah, I know, I didn't have the phone with me, and by the time I get home all I want to do is get them cleaned. Hell having to fish by yourself. Is it kosher to go to a classified ad to find a fishing partner? Male seeking male for wet, slippery adventure?

The weather here is blowing out the rivers and ponds. Plus my work place changed buildings and I moved to a single story house and my grand daughter is here for 3 weeks so my fishing and tackle making has been curtailed for a while.
