Going to the south end of KY Lake this weekend. Where to find Gills?
I'll be going with the family to meet my sister and her family at Piney Campground for a long weekend and hopefully we'll do some fishing along with sightseeing in the LBL. I'm wondering where to find Bluegill, Redears, and Shellcrackers now that the weather has turned so hot. I presume they're off the beds now, right? I'll probably be out on the lake early in the AM or in the evening maybe even after dark (May fish for that "other" kind of fish after dark)
Thanks,
Mike

I would cruise south a few miles from LBL and fish the mouth of the Big Sandy. Lots of good drops and also lots of Steve McCadams brush piles around this area.
Crappie holes fo sho.

Mike,
I fished a watershed lake about 2 hrs east of LBL yesterday and caught gills on the beds. Good luck!

WOW!! So, they're still on the beds?
I'd love to get down around Big Sandy but just don't think I'll be able to get that far down from where we are at.
Thanks guys!
