Pretty much the same thing as the last couple of outings. Was going to fish for Redear, based on pranksters report, but CNBGs had other ideas. All fish CPRd - using 2lb test, JDM gear, chub belly spinner jigs tipped with crickets. Water 66 - 67 F. Mostly trolling 12 to 22 FOW. Running over submerged hills with stick ups. Had to stop, back up, and wait for fish to swim out of the structure on a few of these fish. Most retying I've done in along time....

Very nice Sonny. I'd like to try one of the rods you speak of before I would pull the trigger on one. You have my interest. I use some light and ultra light rods but way cheap. I go to a shop and handle some rods and just can't find the one that speaks to me. A St. Croix 7ul2 felt OK but not quite there. The 66lf so far is the Holy Grail, and hard to find like chicken lips. One day.......

    Thnx Tim

If I wasn't using these rods - would be using the St. Croix panfishing rods. I like the one piece. GLoomis makes some nice rods but the tips are too thick.
