If I can't catch them on a black beetle spin or a black beetle they are not biting.
1/64 or 1/80 black and yellow chart. kiptail jig with red thread neck, also add a crappie nibble and fish under a tiny round float with the piece of lead weight built in the bottom. purple and yellow chart is hot too. size 10 sickle hooks on these jigs, I think.

I use 4 lb hi vis gold line black chartreuse 1/32 jigs, that i tie myself. I also put a small split shot a foot or so above jig, helps for casting. Tip the jig with a beemoth. Usually toss it out and give a 10 count retrieve slow as possible. You might try different count down until you find there depth. JUST my 2 cents, lol
Fishy Fishy in da brook, come bite on Grandpa's hook!
I was out on 4-6-2018 fishing for crappie and couldn't get a bite, but I did manage several nice shellcrackers on a junebug/chartreuse 2" jig with a 1/32oz minnow head. My wife and I actually target bream and shellcrackers with these jigs, her favorite color is popsicle.
You can't catch fish from the couch.
