I had a small swamped dock that I needed to pull out of the pond. Got it winched out and had 3 of these guys dragged out with it.
Question is, are they early this years or late last year?

It looks like a small sunfish of some kind. Maybe a bluegill. If you are in Arkansas, it is hard to imagine that it is this years spawn. More than likely it is a small hold over from last year. Probably came from a really late spawn last year. We see that with fish in the sunfish family.
