Default 1st panfish catch with artificial bait

Yep, caught this little guy earlier this afternoon on a rootbeer colored panfish magnet.

Went out earlier this morning. Fished with the Berkley Gulp Nightcrawler. They were really biting well and I caught about 4 on that. Then things slowed down and I decided to try some different baits/lures. I have the Panfish Magnet kit and I tried some of those. Got some bites on most of the colors but the rootbeer one seemed to do the trick.

    All right!

You've been working up to this for a while. Good idea to change up colors until you found one they had interest in.

Try some Bobby Garland's Baby Shad plastics. They'll do some catching for you!

You'll catch most species on the Magnet in most colors of which there are many. The website has great sales on the Crappie Magnet in certain colors and though some may not be what some would call natural, it doesn't matter because the overall shape of the lure when rigged on a light jig 1/32 or 16 oz, demonstrates and action on the slow retrieve fish can't ignore. What pound test did you catch them on?
