    Default S. GA Redbreast

Caught 25 all this size but left my fish basket in the truck. Water was 67-68F in 2-6ft of water. Majority of the fish were males positioning themselves to be first to the shallows, females were caught in the deeper water. All were caught on a 1/64oz jig, had several hit the float so small popping fly would've had success. This is a small black water river, so lots of blow downs, cypress, submerged timber to generate current breaks &a slack water.

The one in the last pic, put up quite a fight on my ultralight gear. Wrap me around some timber, but came out quickly. Had one bigger than it wrap my line the same way but wouldn't move so my line gave way the second time. The way river fish fight is different they have an awkward pause before they catch the current again, point their head down & pull.
