Thread: It's A Real Pleasure To Be Here.

I've belonged to several forums over the last 6 years or so, but this forum is a real pleasure. Everyone does their best to get along with others, give good advice, and treat one another with respect.

I spend more time here than I do in the other main forum now. I've been a member there since dec of 2002 and have watched it turn into a zoo. Rude and inconsiderate members, always trying to get some other member banned or blocked from posting.

A gang of about six women that do their best to control the forum. They've even called the workplaces of people (members stupid enough to share their phone numbers) and tried to cause trouble with their employer. They all have unlimited calling plans so they can call each other anywhere in North America and talk for hours. They've got their own little off-shoot forum where they plan their nasty tricks and then discuss the details on the phone.

Very rude and they tell such great big lies. I've been their target for several years and they really hate me with a passion. But I've stood up to them and not let them take over that forum.

But in here, its so much different. We've got a certain amount of respect and trust for each other that lets us enjoy the place and not be afraid of sharing common interest.

I'm looking forward to meeting you guys, hope the best for all of you. Living alone after my wife passed away a few years back, some of you have no idea how I enjoy your company.... cheers!

Stink; I feel the same about this site as I'm sure most others do as well. Looks evident as so many new ones are joining. I remember seeing you at the marina before just didnt register until later. I cant imagine your loss, my wife & I do alot together when we can, she's my best friend and fishing partner, plus she regularly beats me to boot! I probably take her for granted too much. Cant wait to meet all the members myself, yep we feel at home here.....the way it should be.

Sorry to hear about your loss. I don't know what I would do if something happened to my wife she is my best friend and partner.

Stink I feel the same way about the site I use to look at other forums and seen the same crap. This site is very addicting and the folks that I have had the pleasure of meeting form other states that hang around here have all been top notch folks. My cousin Darryl Morris told me about the site a few years ago and I've been hooked ever since. Hope to get to meet you at the get together on the 14th.

Good things from the Stink. I butt heads with a few here and there on C.C, but for the most part, it's all good. I ran my wife off goin on three years. There have been times I regretted it, but many more times realized it was for the better. I look forward to meeting you. I don't have time for drama or jerks. I'll not even visit a forum that is run by idiots. C.C is one of the best. I'm glad I found it. I'm basically a turd myself, with a side of kindness, or vice versa.

If I lost my last 23 years of love and closeness with the woman who has shared and made my life a pleasure to live Iwould be miserable. I am sorry to hear of your loss and don't ever want to experience it. I tell the good Lord many times please let me go first. I am looking forward to meeting everyone and this site to me is the best thing going fishing wise on the internet. Not just Crappie fishing but fishing period. If you are a novice you could look at some of the past topics and take notes and catch fish the next day. Stink thank's for sharing your story that is not easy and I feel your pain. She must have been quite a girl.
