Default Eufaula- I-40 - 2-25-09

Fished the I-40 bridge today,as well as some others...spider-rigging. Brought 11 home. Missed quite a few and caught some small ones. The bite was very soft. Weather was excellent for late February.

Here are two of my best. They'll be tasty!!

Also met another of our valued Oklahoma chapter members...dearhunterodie.

Know Larry well from fishing next to him up at Oologah. Good people

I caught my fish spider-rigging 8 to 10 ft deep, over the breakline - 16 to 20 ft of water. From talking to most people anchored off, it was pretty slow for the most part. I left at 5:00 PM, and spoke with deerhunter odie, and they caught more late evening than they caught the rest of the day. Water temps on the south side was 51° to 52° ...North side 48°.

I also fished in Gentry Creek yesterday, but only caught one. Water was 48°, and water was heavily stained, but I would imagine that's normal for up there. All the boats I saw were fishing the bridge area. Several boats were in Graves Creek, by the vehicles parked at the ramp.
