I don't know if it's the warm weather we've had the last couple weeks or what but the brown recluses have been out and about like crazy and as things cool off of an evening they've been seeking shelter inside homes. I've heard of several people getting bit, low and behold sunday night one got me on the back and now I've got a sore the size of quarter where it got me. The Dr has me on antibiotics to fight the infection and pumping IB Profen for the pain and soreness. If you haven't sprayed your house and yard for bugs I recommend you get er done!
Goodnight Vienna...Pistols Firing!!!
Thanks for the heads up zinsurance, much appreciated. I'll run a check of the likely hiding spots tonight and see if I need to spray this weekend or not. Thanks again.

At work we always have lots of them. I probably kill 50-60 a year. I killed about 15 yesterday while cleaning up some stuff. We have only had one person get bit one time and that was in his office. Watch out for them around and under beds and curtains where they can come out and bite you when you are sleeping.
I hate those damn things. I got bit on the inner thigh by one of those as a kid. My whole leg turned beet red and the bite swelled up like a half grapefruit. Doc took care of it and just ended up with a little scar. Some people have some big chunks rot and fall out if they don't get it cared for. Yeah, i hate 'em.
ya we killed one at mom and dads house this weekend and it was right before bed time needles to say i didnt sleep in my brothers room that night call me a sissy if u want but im scared to death of thoes spiders
thanks Crappie Josh aka C.J.
always ready to go fishing
i walked in the bathroom and turned on the light and one ran beside the kmod. about a week ago. thanks for reminding me i need to spray around the house.
Be kind, go fishing and unwind.
I haven't seen one since fall. They don't live with me, I live with them. My shop is real bad with them. I believe a serious fogging/fumigating is in order if they are going to start moving about.
A penny saved is a Congressional spending oversight.
Fogging will help but it is best to do it after dark. Everything I have read on them says that you really need direct contact with spider and spray.
They do like to roam at night. We catch a bunch of them in glue traps. That'll help get the ones that are hiding where the spray can't get to them. I always have mixed emotions when we catch them under the bed.
