Hey all. I've been hearing all the wonderful tales about jig tying on this forum and I've got a friend who's getting into a lot of fly tying for trout, and I think I'm ready to make the jump. I've read several threads about where to look for the tools and such, and plan to try that eventually, but thought I'd check here first and see if any member on here has any tools they've outgrown or upgraded from who's willing to help out a newbie to the jig tying profession. I posted this in the jig tying forum too just in case anybody there doesn't check this forum regularly, and hope for some bites...hehe...made a funny there didn't I. Anyway, if anybody out there has some older tools out there that they want to get rid of, please send me a PM, or just reply here. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Thanks again.

I don't have anything I am not using. I had to re-tool myself about 8 years ago after my wifes (ex) nephew decided to take everything I had concerning jig tying, molds, and about 5k more worth of stuff. Wife refused to talk to her sister about it. Ticked me off. Wish I could help, but you don't need much. A trip to Nabatak in Claremore should get you started.
A penny saved is a Congressional spending oversight.
Never heard of Nabatak. Guessing it's a Fishing Shop of some kind? Care to enlighten me a little bit?
S.S.
National Bait and tackle (nabatak) out on highway 20 just before the turnpike exit. lots of good stuff there.
Its all about how ya wiggle it!
