I had a local fishing guide tell me that bass pro has in quarrintine a 4lb crappie they have to do this before they intro it into the big aquarium He told me someone brung it from around McCalister and was caught in a farm pond maybe we wil see it there before long
There is a 4lb crappie at the bass pro in OKC. My brother was telling me about it he said it is 4 inches across the back and 20 inches long. He also said it is a black crappie!!! But he didn't know where it come from or where it was caught!!! EB
That's no big deal, I caught two 4 lb-ers in one day and tossed them back so they'd get bigger.

Never, never attempt to dry out shad in a $1000 Maytag convection oven......... never!

"Never Fry Bacon Naked"
the black crappie in the okc bass pro is almost 5lbs now. was caught in a farm pond was around 4 when caught. the guys at the reel section can tell ya more about the fish.
4lb that is a monster
The BPS in Broken Arrow has a mounted crappie right over the fishing line area that is supposed to be a 4 pounder. Man that thing is so big it doesn't look real. I've never seen a crappie bigger than 2 lbs. in person but I've caught plenty of 4lb. green carp and that crappie looks bigger than any of them. I think I would faint if I pulled one up that looked like that.
I had a 5#er on once. About wet my pants when he turned and I saw the tall white body in the murky water. I knew it was a crappie 'cause that's all I'd been catching that day. I landed him...
...turns out it was a drum. Had to change my soiled britches for nothin'.
Jeremiah 16:16a "But now I will send for many fishermen," declares the Lord, "and they will catch them."
