ok guys, i am just curious as to what some of your oppinions might be as to whether or not this type of structure will work. i plan on putting 2 off the front of the boat as well as 2 in the middle and 2 off the back, so my ? is do yall think it will work or should i do something different? any info or advice will be appreciated, i would like to hear it all including the negatives of this design. thanks to all and to all happy fishing in 2009
Bowman, I may be wrong, but I think you have to have the picture saved to some save site such as Photobucket or one of the others.
I always use photobucket to post an image in here or in other forums.
Someone else might know how to post an image without using a sponser, but I don't.
good luck because I'd like to see your idea, a picture is worth at least a thousand words.![]()
Never, never attempt to dry out shad in a $1000 Maytag convection oven......... never!
photo bucket is what they all use
Bowman one of the metods we use is pallets with cedars (not green and not christmas trees) one on each corner either bolted down via a tree holder or bolted into the edge of the pallet. In the center screw down a couple of five gallon buckets and fill them with concrete. Before the concrete sets put an I bolt in it and at various angles put some 1 Inch PVC pipe. This pipe can be used to also firm up the cedars at various points by running a screw through the PVC int the cedar. Once it sets up it will sink and we use these types of structure to create a bottom standing structure. Place a few of these in the middle of your slips and you have a virtual forest. Once the silt and dirt move between the pallets they become unmovable. You use the I Bolts to run a rope through to set your structure. Hope this helps someone.

ok guys, thanks to yalls help i finally got the pic on here. now, do you guys think that this will work if i put 2 off either side of the front, middle and back of the boat? be sure to note that the metal sign frame is just there for support until the concrete dries.
looks good to me..........I'd sink it!
Thomas Jefferson said I had a God-given right to pursue happiness. What makes me happy is to take a mallard's head smooth off at about 20 feet!
It dont take much to hold crappie, if 1 twig cast a shadow across his eye he thinks he's hid. Sink that dude!

I sank lots of these caught fish by them but can tell you that catfish also love them its just a toss up as to where you put them they are very hard to find sometimes gps is a must
Crappie like the darkest water if it is clear water. Any thing that makes for shadows and darkness is a sure bet. I look at a dock and find the very darkest water there and hang a tree there. I also go to the peripheral of that dark water and hang cedars around it to create deep water shadows around that dark water. That brush looks awesome for a dark water pile only I would suspend it. Personal experience of many piles I would say suspend it to where the top of the brush is about 10 foot from the top of the water if you can. This is assuming you are hanging them from a boat dock.
