My wife and I are lookin to have a nice getaway this weekend, and wanna travel down that way, and try to get a cabin on the lake, and do some fishing, and we love history and would like to know of some nice historic places to check out while we are down there.

big george.. fished with e b last summer one great guy. 100 deg. on the water but that didnt stop him from working his buttoff. showed us a great time. fishing 10 inches from him same bait he will catch the crappie. great guy. wanting to come out in feb or march when the catch is on along int. 40 i believe. is there any places to stay around eufaula so we can do our own cooking. domt really want to stay at a motel. i am retired so can come any time weekends or week days. have 16 ft. lund boat w 75 h p motor. set up to drift also.. pm ed eb but have not got a replay. if i come out there will be 2 of us. i will soon be 67 years young and want to catch a few more crappie.. thanks a lot dean havens.
