Thanks Crappie Reaper I will be keeping an eye out if I get to the water this weekend I will post some temps myself.
I fished about an hour and a half around Jackon Bay and the water temp was 49. Did not catch a crappie my buddy had a new locator that we were testing out. Tried Billy Creek Sunday evening and the warmest we found was 55.
55 seems a bit high for this time of year with that cold front we just went through last week. Sure that thermometer is working right? How deep was the water you were in when you took the temp?

Hello fellows, It is not un common for the temps to vary 15 degrees in different parts of the lake. I was fishing 50 degree water a month ago. It all depende on the depth, clarity, and sunshine. EB
I agree with EB. On Feb. 2nd the water temp on Oologah was in the low 30's.
On Feb 10th the same spots were 44-46 degrees. I went further into Talala Creek on the 10th and found temps as high as 54. Remember we had several days of upper 60's and low 70's. But the biggest factor was night time temps stayed in the 50's several days. The temp gauge in the Verdigris river at Lenapah showed the water temp getting to 50 and that is moving water.Just something I have found to be true over the years is if you see the soil temps posted on the news they are real close to the water temp.
Common sense isn't always that common!
Oklahoma mesonet gives great info on soil, air temps and wind speed.
