Fished 26th through 29th, Hickory Point fish were in the main channel, caught at 4' to 7' at creek bends, seem to like the rock bluff areas best, probably a little warmer. Most fish caught on minnows. Lake was dropping pretty fast as you know how the wind was blowing, it didn't matter which way the wind blew your bait was headed to the dam. Water temperature average was 50 degrees. it did get up one day to 70 degrees but drooped back to 50 the next day.
There were a lot of tournament guys from Mo. getting ready for 3-29-08 tournament. I did not here anything results about the tourney though.
Lots of people fishing with yo-yo's in the brush.
Will be back when the lake levels out and stabilizes as I like to catch them on jigs.:D
Good report considering the conditions, alot of guys we talked to this weekend had struck out, we managed to catch a few @ 4' as well all on minnows.

I was down there Saturday (not fishing) and stopped by the weigh-in. Todd Huckabee and Barry Morrow won the pro side with 11.09. There were 12 teams weighed over 10 lbs for seven fish.

I didn't get to fish the tournament this year because of work. But Sunday I had 11.50 with 7 fish. 5 fish were 1.10- 1.15. Caught 60 all day fishing in 8-12ft of water. Spider-rigging and Huckabee style. There is no place like gaines!!!!
Todd Huckabee weighed them for me!!
Christened the new boat with a 2lb crappie north of hwy 31 launch on Sunday. Needed that one for the tournament.
We boated 200+ crappie in three days.
Kept 30 fish for eating, put the rest back for the future and others to harvest.
Love that lake. I wish Table Rock was 25% of the Crappie fishery Eufaula is.

Nothing makes a Crappie grow faster than almost being caught.
