    Default Skiatook Lake

Has anybody been to Skiatook in the past few weeks? Curious if there has been anything going on out there in the way of Crappie. I plan on hitting a few of my brushpiles I sunk a few months ago this weekend. Thanks, MM.

Was there last Friday. water temp in most places was 49-52. it was windy and most of the creeks i went in were stained to muddy. Didn't do any good on the crappie or bass and didn't talk to anyone that had any luck on the crappie. I know they have been catching them pretty good at the marinas there in 8-12 feet of water. I have a bass tourney there this Sunday and I will let you know what kind of water temps I find and clarity.

    Default Thanks!

Thanks for the info JLV, I appreciate the feedback. I was beginning to wonder if anybody has been out that way, haha. If I start finding them I'll give you the GPS coordinates...I am not opposed to sharing the spots that I build....that's the fun in fishing, right? Good luck in your tourney, I think I'm going to head up to Carl Blackwell this weekend and visit my brothers in Stilwater, hope to fish with you sometime in the near future....MinnowMan

Went to Skiatook today for my bass tourney and the water has cleared up quite a bit in the creeks, still a little murky but not bad at all. Water on the main lake was around 50 degrees and we found up to 55 towards the back of a few creeks. Seen quite a few fishing off the bluffs on highway 20, didn't make close enough to see how they were doing. There were quite a few nice smallmouth weighed at the tourney, just not by me. Had two blacks for 5 lbs and a 4 1/2 pound drum. I won enough off the drum in the junk fish pot to cover my entry so that helped the wallet out some. Be sure and let us know how you do minnowman when you make it up there.

JLV, that is GREAT information once again. I am pleased to hear you at least got your entry back, also please to here the murky waters have cleared up some....hahahhaa....unfortunately since you posted and all HAIL broke loose, it's liable to be MUDDDDDDY again? You think? Either way, I'll keep you posted as I make it out, when I find them, you'll know! Thanks, MM.

I got a buddy fishing the Wednesday night jackpot so I will get a report from him. I'm sure the lake a little messy right now.

Wednesday night jackpot? Can you get me some information about this? Open to the public? My uncle and I have been looking for some sort of local tourney to enter and try our luck....? Thanks again! MM
