Come On Ripper Lets Get A Wading Outing Set Up,if We Can Get A Few Peeps Interested Mayby We Can Do Like A 5 Dollar Buy In Or Such And Winner Take All, We Can Bring A Cooker An Set Up In A Campsite, Somewheres, And Mayby Do Us A Night Outing (moon According). I Found That Website Again Where I Was Ordering The Jr Madds Madgic Fish Batter By The 40lb Box. I Need A Couple People To Go In With Me An Order Another Box. I Think We Split 20 Or So Last Time 3 Ways.

Talked To A 77 Year Old This Afternoon And He Has Been Fishing Crappie For A Coons Age Now, Said He Cleaned 14 This Afternoon And For Some Reason That He Hasnt Ever Seen Before, Over Half Of The Females Eggs Were Bloody On One Side And Complete Bloodless On The Other, Kind Of Malformed. Some Of Em Had Empty Sacks On One Side? Has Anyone Else Ever Heard Of This Before?? And These Fish Were Cought Out Of The Arkansas River, Switchbacks. And Horseshoe Lake Area. And He Said He Gave Up This Evening Because The Catfish Moved In And He Cought 3 Back To Back, And The Crappie Quit. And He Was Catching Crappie Before In 5' Of Water, About 3 Foot Deep.stained Water.his Big One Was 3 3/4lbs A 3lb And A 2 3/4pounder I Didnt Think To Ask Him Were They Males Or Females,

I have heard of this before. I am taking a shot in the dark, but doesn't that mean the famales are trying to ingest their own eggs? They get ready to spawn and then a cold front moves through and throws the water temp down lower then what they want to spawn....I may be completely wrong but I think that's pre-stage to the dreaded "LOCKJAW" where they quit biting b/c they have ingested their own eggs. I'm all in on that one, with JR.Madds & a cooker thats incentive enough to fish harder right there, it wont be long now just need some warm nights to go with the day temps.

Are those weights from crappie or catfish? if it's crappie you're speaking of i'm on my way

When is this wading fest going to to place. If it is on a Saturday I could probably make the drive.

And Yep Them Was Big Crappie, He Always Catches Fish And Good Ones, He May Be A Little Windy, But Ive Seen Some Monster Crappie Come Out Of There.
