Just wondering if anyone has been doing any good on Grand. My boat is still at the doctor and she won't be home until next week. Also I've heard that Lake Eucha is good for crappie only been once any help would be great?
I have heard from a friend of mine in Claremore that the Crappie in Grand are in a decline because of something. ??? They couldn't remember what it was supposed to be, and they asked me. Anybody got any info on this. I don't fish Grand and haven't heard anything.
Thanks
Pretty sure they have had a few years of bad spawning classes because of the constant fluctuation of the lake.
Ivan Martin, Grand Lake guide, has a fishing report at www.grandfishingreport.com
. Click on reports tab. He will report soon on the recent fisheries dept. shock results for crappie.
Thanks guys, I will forward the info and the link to them.
Good Fishing!!

I was at the meeting and the wildlife and fisheries guys said in the past that there where low spawns caused by water temps rising to fast. This time they have said that the inflow (not water level but water coming into the lake) has been low over the last 5 to 6 years. Exception with last year and this year so far. They said that the low inflow made for low planktin which is what the crappie frye feed on. Sorry if that was spelled wrong. Crappie can feed on the planktin until they are up to 4 to 5 inches. This is why they said we have had low spawns. Me personally, I think the numbers matched up, but I also think that the crappie are in different places than they have been. The crappie aren't going to hold tight to brushpiles that are holding 6lb bass in them.
