    Default Fish Question?

I Work With A Fella Who Swears He Has Seen A 150 Pound Plus Sturgeon In The Arkansas River!!! Right Here In Muskogee Ok. While Running A Trotline. Said It Had Hit A Bluegill On His Line, He Says It Went Nuts When It Surfaced Next To The Boat, And Ripped Off. I Havent Ever Seen One In The River And Wondering If Anyone Else Has Heard Of One Being Here Or Cought One Or Seen One Around Here.

I Have An Experience Myself With A Fish One Night In A Cove Off Of Number 9 While Bowfishing And 3 Of Us Seen This Fish And It Must Have Been Over 7 Or 8 Feet Long, We Figgered It Was A Big Gar, It Was Shiney/silver And Slim ,and Just Out Of Our Bow Range Now It Makes Me Wonder If We Do Have A Few Salty Critters Running Around.

Yes, I'm 99% sure there are sturgeon in the Arkansas river system. And there have been findings of them in the Red River also.

I've caught some small ones fishing worms on bottom for channel cats, so there must be bigger ones in there.
