hi everyone my name is tom. i just joined today. i live in oologah. i was thinking about a private tournament saturday march 1 here on the lake weather permitting. anyone interested?
Ok whatever , i said i was new here introduced myself, what not even a welcome to the site or anything with 55 or so fellow fishermen reading my post. i thought (not everyone) but heck mabey 1 out of 50 people might be kind enough to reply even if your not in oklahoma. just another sighn of the times i guess. anyways good luck to everyone going fishing.
Trail Hunter welcome to Oklahoma. I have a prior engagement with my daughter she is going to districts in speech and debate and I wouldn't miss it for anything. Oolagah is a good Crappie lake and you can go to the Oolagah Army Corp of Engineer site and download brushpiles. Hope you have luck with the tourny and you might check with the Corp on event fees. I've met a few of the folks on the board here and they all seem to be good people until you get to know them. Hmmm did I say that right. Welcome aboard.
I've done all the fishing I want to do, I'm into the catching.
Sorry buddy, we're a bit shy until we get to know people. I think most people probably did what I did at first: read the thread, realized that it was too short notice for me to participate, and didn't reply because I'm bummed I can't go.
Were it two seperate threads (one intro/welcome, and one about the possibility of a tourney), I'm sure you'd have gotten the responses you expected. Please don't be offended. Give the guys a month or two notice and you'll likely have a nice private tournament.
Jeremiah 16:16a "But now I will send for many fishermen," declares the Lord, "and they will catch them."
Welcome Trail Hunter; I remember when i first joined it was a little slow at first, but you will love this site, it seems there has been alot of requests for tourneys the past year or so with everyone interested but with a sponsored/sanctined tourney alot of organizing goes into e'm plus regulations, expenses, time & the like but I've not heard of a little private one that just might fly with a week or 2 notice. Dont give up just yet you guy's there local may be better served to like a Crappie Club type format, plus with March coming on alot of guy's have plans in the works for a trip to their favorite water planned out, the way gas is trips over 1 tankful away are out....good fishin!!

Ok thanks for the reply's.. looks like its going to be some crappie fishing weather around here this weekend. i cant wait to get on the water. good luck everyone. i smell a new state record.![]()
Man I'd love to fish this weekend as it looks like the weather will be warming, but I have to work out of town. I know a month ago when I caught some up there, the ones I brought home already had a few eggs in them.
I'd love to get back up to Oolagah and hammer that timber and fish a few b/p's. You boys realize your not gonna win a tournament fishing b/p's on oolagah though...

Hello All, Just moved to Collinsville and have not fished much and am trying to learn to crappie fish. Been reading alot; and been on Oologah a few time looking for them with no luck. If anyone wants to help with a report of patterns, I would be greatful. Thanks, Tles1
