Thread: What is the word on Oologah

Anybody try it over the last few weeks. Going tomorrow any hints.

Where did you find the fish at or where should I start looking

any brush, 12-18' deep

Marked alot of good fish around 20ish on brush but did not fish was running from lightning and finally gave up and went home. Noticed the termocline starting to form is some areas.

below the dam last week but the water is shut off this weekend, fish up close to the dam if no water is running, anywhere last week below the dam on the rip rap would fill a basket.

what were the biting on below the dam? Jigs or minnows? West or East side?

When the water was about 5000 cfs it did not matter which side and people were using minnows or jigs either one, the bite was hot. When the water was shut off the best place was against the dam. A couple of guys were leaving Sunday morning at daylight with a basket full caught on shad raps right up against the dam. A friend of mine lives about a mile from there got there just as they were leaving and he caught 25 nice ones on jigs and still made it to Sunday School on time.
Some people thought the fish they were catching went through the spill way and were trying to get back home? Some of the fish were banged up pretty bad.

It aint that great now theyll run it for a bit at a low level and then shut it off again. got there this morning just as they were shutting it off.
