Anyone been doing any lately with any luck? Thought about doing it on oologah this weekend. Will one flouresent light be enough?
Its all about how ya wiggle it!
You know, I used to use a Starfire submersible, it's still in the boat. I haven't hung a light over the boat in years. I do however, stick a low profile black light on the side to illuminate my lines and poles. I can see the bite better than broad daylight. I try not to use any lights topside other than a clip on LED that is on my cap. I catch just as many fish and all the bugs hang out next to the black light. I get a fair share buzzing my head, but not near as many as if I had a light going. As far as one flourescent going? That should work just fine. Remember, it can take up to two hours to begin attracting Crappie once the bait fish have gathered. Rango is probably the King of nightstalking on Crappie.com. He says he rarely moves once he gets set up.

Never used it. I would use one of the parks that lock up at 10 for safetys sake.

Allens Point would be safe as far as security, but if the South wind gets up, I wouldn't want to launch or load in the light, much less in the dark. I would think the lake might still be to dirty to fish at night. I've always done better at night when lakes are clear. We used to launch out of the ramp at RedBud Bay for night fishing and never had any problems.
We, the unwilling, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have done so much, for so long, with so little, we are now qualified to do anything with nothing."
if there is two of you put light in middle of boat
